Dates:  Saturday, July 29th and Sunday July 30th

Start times:  10 am both days


There will be a Barrel Racing Jackpot on Friday night.  3D-4D depending on number of entries.  $30 fees for Open, Jr $15 and Pee Wee $5.   Time Only’s 4:30pm-6:15pm.  Jackpot will start at 6:30 with pee wee and junior events first.

Directions to Rodeo Grounds:  Address:  354142 – 48th Street East, Okotoks, AB.

West on Hwy 370 Avenue East (off highway #2 just  north of Aldersyde overpass),  Follow to 48th Street East and go North on 48th and follow to 4th place on East Side of the Road.  White pipe fence and spruce Trees down laneway.  Follow road all the way past the barns to the back of the property.

2017 FINALS – August 18-20th

Silver Slate Arena, Stavely, AB

Start times: Friday at 7pm, Saturday 10 and 4 Sunday Noon 


Online Entries open Monday, July 31st.  Phone Entries, Tuesday August 1st 5pm-9pm – .   All entries close at 9pm on August 1st.  NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

IMPORTANT:  Even if you are not in the top 12 you need to enter as we roll down to fill all 12 spots.  You will not be called to fill a spot.  You must enter.


Over $30,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs at our Sudden Death Finals!!!

2018  Season Membership Rodeo

Dates:  September 16th and 17th, 2017

Location:  Claresholm Agriplex.


AGM will be held during this rodeo – details to follow.

You do not have to purchase your membership in advance. Enter rodeo and pay for your membership when you arrive. Reminder before entering,  If you turnout, you are responsible for your membership and fees and turnout fines. 

Important Rule addition for 2017 season:

Because it is deemed unsafe, we will no longer allow anyone to stand on the wall side of either roping boxes.  It is acceptable to stand on the chute side and assist with horse if necessary.

New Events for 2017 Season:

Little Cowgirls Barrel Racing and Pole Bending.

  • Age category:  10 and under by January 1st of Rodeo Year.
  • No Lead Line
  • Top 6 to finals
  • Buckles awarded to Season Leader and Champion in each event.
  • You cannot enter any Junior Events unless you purchase a Junior Membership and move up to that Division and you will not be able to compete in the Little Cowgirls Division in any events.  Once a Little Cowgirl has taken out a Junior Membership she will become and Junior member and is no longer eligible to apply for a Little Cowgirl Membership.  Once you move into Junior Division you will be eligible for Rookie awards.
  • Bingo Requirements;  1 Bingo to qualify for year end awards or compete at the Finals. Bingo Buyout will be accepted at $125.  Same Deadline as Junior Buyout.
  • Entry fee will be $10, Membership $35
  • This is for a one year trial and will re-evaluated at our 2017 Annual General Meeting.


Other Important changes for 2017 Season:

  • Juniors now competing in Team Roping will have their points count towards Junior All Around.

  • Rookie and Horse of the Year will now include points made at the Finals.

  • A Rodeo committee has the right to cancel an event if only 3 contestants have entered.

  • Barrel Racing and Pole Bending Final Go Round will run from 12th to 1st place, raking after every 4.  First performance is a draw then we will roll down by 4 for next two performances.
